Battleship Game: Instructions

Goal: Be the first player to find and “sink” all of your opponent’s ships.

1. Set up your ships

• On My Battleship grid, secretly draw your ships.
• Ships go in straight lines – horizontal or vertical.
• Ships cannot touch (not even diagonally).
• Flip a coin or choose a player to go first.

2. Take turns to “shoot”

• On your turn, choose one coordinate, for example: B4.
• This means you are shooting at that square on your opponent’s grid (Opponent’s Battleship).
• Your opponent checks that coordinate on their My Battleship grid.

3. Hit or miss

• If a ship is there, your opponent says “Hit!”
• If no ship is there, your opponent says “Miss!”
• Mark the result on your Opponent’s Battleship grid (for example, ● for miss and X for hit).

4. Sinking a ship

• When you hit all squares of one ship, your opponent says “Sunk!”
• Circle or highlight the whole ship on your tracking grid.

The first player to sink all opponent ships wins.
